
After 1 year playing youth hockey, Laura quickly segued to figure skating and was in the very first Nashville Figure Skating Club. She competed locally until college. After several years off the ice and a move to LA, she returned to the sport as an adult skater, earning her adult gold certification in moves in the field.
She is a three-time adult national medalist. She has competed in West Coast Sectionals, Midwest Sectionals, and three Adult National Championships, where she medaled in all events. In 2019 she placed 1st in the nation in dramatic artistic in her division. At the 2021 Sectionals in Cedar Rapids, she placed first in her division for her technical free skate program. At the Adult National Championships the following month, she placed 2nd out of 19 skaters with her freeskate.
Laura currently teaches private and group lessons to skaters of all ages for the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy in Nashville. She is helping build a thriving adult skating community through her adult “Aspire” classes. Her focus is on artistry, choreography and basic skills.
